TURNIP PURPLE TOP WHITE GLOBE

The purple top white globe Turnip is the most commonly found winter vegetable in India. However, it is now found all over the world and is related to Radish and Mustard. It's a vegetable that is grown in cool-temperate regions and is a root vegetable grown for its tap root and, sometimes, leaves. It is easy to grow and does not require much effort, like the beet or the potato. Some regions even eat turnip stems. Turnips are considered to be native to Europe and form the staple for both human (only the smaller varieties) and livestock.
